Job Description

The job of a 6G Argon (GTAW) Welder at Multitechh Engi Fab (MEF) involves welding the components of MEF products. You will work with limited supervision, following detailed specifications to ensure each weld is completed to specified standards using appropriate equipment and materials. It is crucial to adhere to safety precautions to minimize the risk of injury to yourself and others. Additionally, you may be required to supervise a team of helpers or assistants. Your essential duties and responsibilities will include performing 6G position welding, passing X-ray tests, understanding job requirements, maintaining equipment, working with various materials, operating machines and tools safely, collaborating with other departments, and participating in tests and exams. You will also be responsible for promoting safety, production, and a positive work environment, as well as contributing to the development of improved work processes within the department. To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of three years of relevant welding experience related to piping projects. Knowledge of different types and sizes of structural materials, weld fittings, and pipe, structural, and vessel materials is essential. The physical requirements of the job include bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, standing for long periods, lifting/carrying objects, and working at heights up to 7 meters.
