Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of our Nippon Paint distribution point. This includes overseeing inventory, coordinating purchases and sales, dispatch management, accounting, and tinting operations.
Key Responsibilities:1. Inventory & Warehouse Management:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory to meet retailer demand.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using software tools and physical audits.
- Coordinate with Nippon Paint for timely purchase and restocking.
2. Purchase & Vendor Coordination:
- Raise purchase orders based on stock movement and sales forecasts.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely follow-ups with suppliers.
- Reconcile purchase orders with delivery and billing.
3. Sales & Billing Operations:
- Generate and manage sales bills for 50+ retailers efficiently.
- Work closely with the sales team and customers to process orders.
- Maintain records of daily sales, returns, and outstanding payments.
4. Dispatch & Logistics:
- Plan and execute dispatch schedules ensuring timely delivery to retailers.
- Coordinate with transporters/drivers for route and load planning.
- Supervise loading/unloading, packaging, and safety of goods in transit.
5. Tinting & Technical Oversight:
- Operate and oversee paint tinting machines to fulfill custom color orders.
- Ensure proper storage and usage of colorants and base paints.
- Train staff on tinting processes and equipment maintenance.
6. Accounting & Documentation:
- Handle day-to-day accounting including sales, purchases, petty cash, and expenses.
- Coordinate with the company accountant or CA for monthly statements and GST filing.
- Maintain all necessary documentation for audits and internal reviews.
7. Team Supervision & Training:
- Manage warehouse staff and ensure productivity and discipline.
- Provide training on inventory systems, safety protocols, and product handling.
8. Customer Service & Communication:
- Act as a point of contact for retailer queries and complaints.
- Ensure a smooth order-to-delivery experience for all customers.
