Job Description
The Compliance Specialist position involves monitoring and auditing operational processes to ensure alignment with legal and ethical standards. This includes conducting internal and external audits to identify compliance gaps and recommend improvements. Additionally, the role includes assessing and managing risks associated with the organization's operations to minimize exposure to legal, financial, and reputational threats. Compliance Specialists also play a key role in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and reporting systems. They are responsible for training employees on these policies and any updates. Furthermore, Compliance Specialists provide guidance and support to employees and management on compliance-related matters, serving as a resource for maintaining compliance. They maintain records of compliance activities, prepare reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Liaising between different departments within the organization and external regulatory bodies is also a key responsibility. Skills and qualifications required for this role include strong analytical skills to identify compliance issues and develop solutions, excellent communication skills for training and interacting with stakeholders, technical proficiency in compliance management software, keen attention to detail, a strong sense of ethics and integrity, exceptional organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Experience in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand is mandatory for this position. The job type is full-time, with a day shift schedule and an in-person work location.
