Job Description
As a Tax Preparer, your main responsibility will be to prepare simple to complex tax returns for individuals and businesses. This will involve reviewing various financial records such as income statements, receipts of expenditures, and previous tax returns to devise a strategy for the current returns. You will also be required to conduct interviews with clients in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of their financial situation. Using electronic filing software such as Pro System FX, Pro Series, Lacerte, Go System, Drake, Ultra Tax, and Intuit Online Tax, you will be responsible for both preparing and reviewing tax returns. Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential for this role. Additionally, you will need to ensure the accuracy of totals on past forms. In addition to tax preparation tasks, you will also be expected to support the operations team with their daily workload. This may involve assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.,
