Job Description
As a Virtual Assistant with 2-3 years of experience, your primary role will involve making calls to gather patient demographics and insurance details. You will be responsible for verifying eligibility and benefits to determine insurance coverage before the patient's appointment with the doctor. It will be your duty to identify if authorization is mandatory and secure it accordingly. Additionally, you will conduct email intake procedures, ensuring that patient consent forms are completed and uploaded to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. In this position, you will also be required to request referrals from Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) or authorizations from insurance firms through phone calls, websites, or fax messages. Managing billing claims to insurance companies will be part of your responsibilities using specialized billing software and various insurance websites like Availity, UHC, among others. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including paid sick time and paid time off. The work schedule will include both day and night shifts, and there will be a yearly bonus provided based on performance. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a Virtual Assistant. The work location for this role is in person.
