Your responsibilities will include assisting in basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, and assembling ingredients. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen will be a key priority, involving tasks like washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, and sanitizing work surfaces. Additionally, you will support kitchen organization by stocking pantry items, storing ingredients properly, and assembling menu items for service. Efficient kitchen waste management and adherence to health and safety regulations are essential aspects of this role. While previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is beneficial, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle pressure effectively, and maintain a strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Good communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting are highly valued, along with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards is preferred. This full-time position may involve varying shifts based on the operational hours of the caf.
