As an Automotive Interiors/Exterior Lead Engineer specializing in components such as Instrument Panel, Console, Bumper, and Grill, you will be responsible for designing these modules from the initial concept phase through to design release. Your expertise in plastic component design, considering regulatory and product requirements, as well as knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes like injection molding and tooling, will be crucial in this role. You should possess the ability to independently develop master sections, Fixation Strategy, DFM, DFA, Tol. stack up, GD&T, and concept detailing. Having executed multiple engineering projects across the product life cycle will be advantageous. Your responsibilities will also include creating and modifying CAD models and drawings using Catia V5 to adhere to customer design guidelines and standards. Ensuring quality and meeting delivery targets in customer deliveries on a daily basis is essential. Additionally, you will manage customer data, perform quality checks, take responsibility for product delivery when necessary, and communicate effectively with the onsite team. To excel in this role, you are expected to have 6-8+ years of experience in Interior & Exterior components design, proficiency in Catia V5 CAD tool, strong planning and analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
