As a strong C++ developer with Linux domain development experience, your role at Ivanti will be crucial in contributing to the Patch Management industry. You will join an exceptional team of developers and product managers dedicated to quality engineering, problem-solving, and customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibilities will include performing C++ development and debugging for assigned products, conducting product design and system analysis, and developing well-tested functional or object-oriented software with automated tests. You will be expected to convert customer problems into software solutions and stay updated on the evolution of Linux operating systems and platforms. Collaboration and mentorship are key aspects of this role, as you will work closely with other engineers, provide technical documentation of supported systems, and offer accurate estimations of effort along with regular progress updates. Supporting the team by answering questions, assisting in problem-solving, and ensuring key efforts are completed will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field, along with at least 9 years of software development experience and 5 years of Linux C++ development experience. Strong C++ coding skills, familiarity with C++14 or newer standards, and knowledge of modern memory management and security concepts are essential.
