Patient Reception & Assessment

• Welcome and guide patients to the OPD area.
• Take patient history, record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, SpO?, weight).
• Prepare case sheets and update patient records.

Assisting in Consultation & Procedures

• Assist doctors during examination and minor OPD procedures.
• Prepare and arrange required instruments, disposables, and materials.
• Follow strict aseptic techniques during all procedures.

Medication & Treatment

• Administer prescribed injections, dressings, nebulizations, and other treatments.
• Explain medication instructions and post-treatment care to patients.

Coordination & Documentation

• Maintain daily OPD patient register and nursing notes.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments as required.
• Ensure proper consent forms are signed for relevant procedures.

Infection Control & Safety

• Follow hand hygiene and infection prevention protocols.
• Dispose of biomedical waste as per guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of OPD rooms, instruments, and equipment.

Patient Education & Support

• Provide health education and counseling on preventive care, vaccination, and follow-up.
• Offer emotional support to patients and attendants.

Other Duties

• Report any unusual patient condition or incident immediately to the doctor/incharge.
• Be available for rotational duties as per hospital requirements.
