Job Description
As an SRE Support Engineer at Gigster, you will have the opportunity to work with our clients in the United Kingdom during office hours, providing support for internal IaaS. Your role will involve a wide range of services, from onboarding to community support, and active participation in developing support tools and processes. Key Qualifications/Experience: - Strong spoken and written English skills. - 5+ years of experience supporting highly scalable applications and web services. - Proficiency in Cloud technologies, specifically AWS and familiarity with Google Cloud. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Spark, and Kafka. - Deep understanding of Linux administration, scripting, and troubleshooting. - Knowledge of network protocols, DNS, and load balancing. - Comfortable working with technical customers and providing end-to-end support. - Familiarity with modern server technologies and architectures. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. - Passion for technical support and attention to detail. - Ability to work as an independent contractor for a US company. Nice To Have: - Experience with observability and logging tools. - Hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems. - Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or LPIC. - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with customers and partners to address complex questions and incidents. - Troubleshoot and resolve container orchestration and application deployment issues. - Analyze customer interaction trends and provide feedback to Engineering and SRE teams. - Create knowledge base articles and participate in post-mortem reviews. - Drive operational excellence and contribute to client development objectives. - Work on complex issues creatively and effectively.
