Sr. Steward Northin

Position Overview:The Senior Steward is responsible for overseeing the stewarding department operations, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, maintaining equipment, and supervising a team of stewards. They support kitchen and food & beverage operations by maintaining hygiene and supporting logistics.

• Key Responsibilities:Supervise daily operations of the stewarding team.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and areas.
• Monitor cleanliness standards to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Train and guide new stewards on cleaning procedures and hygiene protocols.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; request restocking when necessary.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling practices.
• Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Inspect dishwashing and pot washing areas regularly.
• Handle minor maintenance issues or report them to maintenance staff.
• Schedule shifts and assign duties to stewarding staff.
• Ensure that breakage and loss of kitchen items is minimized.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
