Job Title: Estimation Engineer Location: Sydenhams Road Chennai-600003 Job Type: [Full-Time ] Experience Required: Minimum 5years to Maximum 15 Years experience in Interior Design or Civil/MEP Engineering Industry: Interior Design / Architecture Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Estimation and Billing Engineer with experience in interior design projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, budgets, and billing documentation in coordination with the design and project teams. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for interior fit-out projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, and related documents to extract project scope and quantity requirements. Coordinate with the design team to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed designs. Generate client and subcontractor bills as per project progress and contract terms. Track project budgets, costs, and ensure alignment with approved estimates. Verify and certify subcontractor invoices and site measurements. Conduct rate analysis and assist in procurement by preparing comparative statements. Assist in value engineering, cost control, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain records of variations, change orders, and claims. Work closely with project managers and site engineers to ensure timely billing and documentation. Skills:- Quantity Take-Off & BOQ Preparation Accurately calculate materials and quantities from drawings and specifications. Cost Estimation Prepare detailed and realistic cost estimates for interior fit-out works. Billing & Invoicing Generate client and subcontractor bills based on work progress and contract terms. AutoCAD & Design Interpretation Read and interpret interior design layouts, sections, and construction drawings. MS Excel & Estimation Software Strong command of Excel formulas and estimation tools for cost tracking and reporting. Rate Analysis Evaluate market rates for materials and labor to ensure competitive pricing. Contract & Tender Documentation Prepare, review, and manage project tenders and contractual documents.
