Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from inception to completion. Your key tasks will include reviewing projects thoroughly to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, monitoring compliance with building and safety regulations on-site and off-site, coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors, selecting tools, materials, and equipment, and tracking inventory. You will also need to ensure that contractual conditions of performance are met, review work progress daily, and prepare internal and external reports on job status. Additionally, you will be expected to plan ahead to prevent and resolve any emerging problems, negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses. Analysing, managing, and mitigating risks, ensuring quality construction standards, and the use of proper construction techniques will also be part of your responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you must have proven working experience in high-rise construction management, advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods, and expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards. You should have a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the construction process, the ability to plan and see the big picture, competence in conflict and crisis management, leadership and human resources management skills, and excellent time and project management skills. A Bachelor of Science degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is required.
