Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled South Indian Cook who can prepare authentic and high-quality South Indian dishes, such as idli, dosa, vada, upma, sambar, chutneys, and traditional meals. The ideal candidate should have hands-on kitchen experience, strong knowledge of South Indian spices and ingredients, and a passion for regional cooking.
? Key Responsibilities: Prepare a variety of South Indian dishes (breakfast, lunch, tiffin, meals)
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
- Monitor ingredient inventory and assist in ordering stock as needed
- Handle cooking equipment like dosa tawa, steamers, and idli cookers
- Assist in menu planning and daily kitchen prep
- Maintain quality control and manage food wastage
- Work with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service
? Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in South Indian cuisine
- Expertise in dosa, idli, sambar, chutneys, rice dishes, and meals
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety norms
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments (hotel or mess-style preferred)
- Positive attitude, teamwork, and punctuality
