As a dynamic digital agency, you specialize in creating impactful online experiences for clients, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and delivering exceptional results. We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Shopify and WordPress Developer with a strong focus on e-commerce to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will excel in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, user-friendly, and high-performing websites on both the Shopify and WordPress platforms, particularly for online stores. This role demands a mix of creative problem-solving, technical expertise in front-end and back-end development, and a profound understanding of e-commerce best practices. Key Responsibilities: Shopify Development: - Develop, customize, and maintain e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform, ensuring high performance, security, and exceptional user experience. - Implement custom Shopify themes and modify existing templates using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Optimize Shopify stores for speed, mobile responsiveness, SEO, and conversion rates. - Conduct thorough testing and debugging of Shopify functionalities and integrations. - Provide technical support and training to clients on Shopify platform usage and maintenance. - Stay updated with Shopify's latest features, updates, and ecosystem developments. WordPress Development: - Design, develop, and maintain responsive and visually appealing websites using the WordPress CMS. - Create and customize WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or by extending existing ones, utilizing PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Implement and configure e-commerce functionalities on WordPress using WooCommerce or other relevant plugins. - Integrate third-party services and APIs into WordPress websites. - Optimize WordPress websites for performance, security, and search engine visibility. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and compatibility problems across various browsers and devices. - Manage WordPress database (MySQL) and ensure data integrity and security. - Perform regular website backups, updates, and maintenance. General E-commerce & Web Development: - Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, content creators, and team members to translate client requirements and design mockups into functional web solutions. - Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design for optimal viewing across all devices. - Implement and enforce web security best practices to protect websites from vulnerabilities and data breaches. - Monitor and analyze website metrics (traffic, conversion rates, user behavior) to identify areas for improvement. - Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code adhering to industry standards. - Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaborative development and code management. - Stay updated on emerging web development trends, technologies, and e-commerce innovations. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - [X+] years of proven experience as a Shopify Developer and WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce projects. - Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/Less is a plus), JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery. - Strong expertise in Shopify development: Liquid templating language, Shopify APIs, theme customization, app integration. - Strong expertise in WordPress development: PHP, WordPress core, theme development, plugin development, WooCommerce. - Experience with responsive web design principles and mobile optimization. - Understanding of SEO best practices and their implementation in web development. - Familiarity with database management (e.g., MySQL). - Experience with Git or other version control systems. - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
