Position: Shift Manager Location: Kolkata Department: Operations Reports To: Store Manager Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to join our dynamic team at [Restaurant Name]. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant during your shift, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service, and maintaining the efficiency of our kitchen and front-of-house staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operations and a proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of staff members during your shift to ensure high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and food quality are met. Provide on-the-job training, feedback, and mentorship to staff. Operational Excellence: Oversee restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning. Monitor food prep, portion control, cleanliness, inventory, and customer satisfaction during the shift. Customer Service: Ensure customers have a positive experience by addressing any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain high standards of service throughout the shift.Schedule staff shifts, manage attendance, and ensure the correct staffing levels are maintained. Handle employee performance issues, including disciplinary actions, as needed.Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate supplies are on hand for the shift. Communicate with the Store Manager regarding stock replenishment and ensure waste control protocols are followed.Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to. Perform regular checks to ensure the restaurant complies with all safety regulations.Assist with cash handling, daily sales reporting, and ensuring the restaurant operates within the budget for labor and supplies.Qualifications: Staff Management: Inventory Control: Health & Safety Compliance: Financial Responsibility: Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or fast-paced food service environment. Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly preferred. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain team morale. Basic knowledge of inventory management, health and safety standards, and financial processes. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional management training or certifications are a plus.Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 kg, and perform other physical tasks as required in a busy QSR environment.Desired Traits: Availability: Physical Requirements: Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
