Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Service Manager LCV with hands-on experience in managing Light Commercial Vehicle workshops. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical background, excellent team management skills, and a customer-first approach. He will be responsible for workshop operations, customer satisfaction, technical troubleshooting, and ensuring efficient service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations of the LCV workshop ensuring productivity and efficiency. Lead, supervise, and coordinate the workshop team (technicians, service advisors, support staff). Conduct daily workshop reviews, job allocations, and monitor workflow. Resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues by guiding technicians or seeking online/technical assistance. Maintain high standards of customer service; interact with customers to understand concerns and ensure timely resolution. Monitor and improve service KPIs like TAT (Turnaround Time), repeat jobs, and first-time fix rate. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards within the workshop. Maintain inventory control of tools, parts, and consumables. Regularly report workshop performance to senior management. Key Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) service/workshop management. Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems of LCVs. Proven ability to lead and manage workshop teams effectively. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Good customer handling and communication abilities. Comfortable using digital tools and online platforms for technical troubleshooting. Willingness to work under pressure and meet performance targets.
