Knowledge of Research writing is not a must, however, applicants interested in the domain are encouraged to apply! :) Responsibilities: - Work closely with software development teams on defining, designing, and delivering high-quality products; provide feedback on architecture, design, and priorities. - Do detailed product research to figure out solutions to ambiguous problems. - Interact with the design team to convert product requirements into actionable prototypes. - Engage with teams across SciSpace to evangelize your team's products and build relationships. - Help in developing and implementing product vision and strategy. - Closely work with engineering to flush out the product requirements into clear executable tasks with quick time-to-market and optimal resources. - Build innovative concepts and successfully champion them through senior management and other teams. - Use a combination of outstanding analytical skills, business judgment, and strategic thinking to innovate and create world-class experiences. - Take initiative. Doesn't wait to be asked. Plans efficiently while avoiding analysis paralysis. - Proactively fill communication gaps amongst all team members. We believe good communication solves half the problem. Our ideal candidates would have: - 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development in technical leadership, product management, program management, or similar roles. - Experience leading product design through the entire lifecycle, from concept and wireframes to MVP and final release. - Solid technical background with experience in software architecture and design. - In-depth knowledge of Product/Service Lifecycle (PLC) and product development. - Experience in Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications. - Experience working with engineering teams to define, scope, and prioritize product requirements is a plus. - Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done. - Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management. - Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor communications to technical, business, and executive-level audiences. - An MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
