Job Description
Purpose of the RoleThis role is responsible to act as a program quality manager and execute all the Quality deliverables in new product development life cycle and ensure to identify and resolve quality issues post proto phase of new product development. Job ResponsibilityRoot cause analysis of field failures in existing bus body products e.g. 7D, SPS Preparation of bus body QIB from existing warranty, service feedback,QRT feedback. Thermal incidences, CCT issues. Driving for closure of all issues through NPI projects before the product is reached DR5 gate from Tata Marcopolo,ACGL,& other body builder if any DMU review & participation along with ERC & Body builder for chassis and body integration sign off before DR2. Participation in DFMEA, TRSO, IQA, PPAP,VLO ,Craftsmanship audit at body builder end from BETA proto fully built bus Leading DMU activity & action planning for the closure of the issues arising thereby. Field visits for root cause and action planning for the failures ( if any) in the newly launched vehicle. Participation on QRT of all bus body CFTs Warranty alignment for bus body parts through TMML ,ACGL & Other body builder if any Desired Candidate ProfileEducation Qualifications: BE in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering Relevant Experience: Preferably on new product design, development & quality assurance. APQP knowledge would be added advantage. Skills & CompetenciesFunctional Excellence Customer Focus Innovative Drive for results Competencies (Technical / Functional) Good functional and design & process knowledge of aggregates like bus body structure ,seats, panels,FRP aggregates ,HVAC system Intelligent transport system (ITS) etc. Functional knowledge about the bus body building critical process like welding ,painting ,sealant application etc. Regulatory knowledge for AIS 052 ,063,AIS119, UBSII etc. DFMEA Root cause analysis / Structured problem solving techniques QC tools for problem solving Competencies (Bus body Industry & competition Knowledge /awareness) Automobile Industry / Auto ancillaries CAD / PLM knowledge Gen3 NPI process New product introduction process,
