Job Description
As a Senior Stop Loss Underwriter at Amynta Group, you will play a crucial role in underwriting new and renewal stop loss business. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with carrier partners and reinsurance providers, evaluating complex risks, and driving growth while ensuring responsible capital management. Your expertise in the medical stop loss market will be vital in developing competitive pricing strategies and establishing coverage limits tailored to client needs. In this role, you will lead the underwriting process, assess loss trends, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and secure favorable terms for medical stop loss coverage. Your relationship management skills will be essential as you build strong partnerships with brokers, clients, and internal teams. Additionally, you will work closely with the claims department to monitor policy performance and resolve any issues related to claims or coverage. By managing a diversified portfolio of stop loss business, you will ensure growth targets are met while maintaining profitability and adhering to risk-sharing terms. Collaboration with sales and marketing teams will be key in driving business development and identifying new growth opportunities. As a mentor to junior underwriters, you will share your expertise and lead training sessions to keep the team updated on industry best practices. Your qualifications should include a minimum of 7 years of stop loss underwriting experience, a bachelor's degree in a related field, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in technical tools. To stand out in this role, proven success in managing relationships with carriers, reinsurers, and brokers, as well as relevant professional certifications, will be highly desirable. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $155,000, and benefits include paid time off, health insurance, disability coverage, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and more.
