Job Summary:The Security Guard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and activities of the security personnel to ensure the safety and protection of the organization's property, assets, employees, and visitors. This role involves coordinating shifts, conducting inspections, handling incidents, and providing training and leadership to the security team.
- Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate the duties of security guards across assigned locations.
- Prepare and maintain duty rosters, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.
- Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular patrols and inspections of the premises.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies, and document actions taken.
- Ensure all security equipment is functional and maintained (e.g., radios, CCTV, access control).
- Conduct performance evaluations and training sessions for security personnel.
- Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other external agencies as needed.
- Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and documentation as per company policy.
- Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations related to security and safety.
- Investigate and resolve security breaches or misconduct among personnel.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Qualifications and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent; further education in criminal justice or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Valid security license/certification (as per local/state laws).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick, effective decisions.
- Proficient in using security technology and computer systems.
- Physically fit and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Working Conditions:Indoor and outdoor work environments.

- Requires standing/walking for extended periods and responding to emergency situations.
