We are looking for a seasoned SAP Solution Manager Consultant to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our SAP landscape. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive solutions that streamline our SAP operations and enhance system performance. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the entire lifecycle of SAP applications, working with cross-functional teams to implement new solutions, utilizing SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and root cause analysis, and providing expert guidance on application development best practices. You will be responsible for setting up and using SAP Solution Manager for various purposes such as optimizing application performance, technical monitoring of SAP systems, databases, and infrastructure components, and managing incident and change request processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to document and manage business processes using SAP Solution Manager's capabilities and provide training and support to end-users and IT teams to maximize their understanding and utilization of SAP Solution Manager functionalities. To excel in this role, you should have 3-6 years of experience with a deep understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevOps principles. Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 is essential, along with hands-on experience in implementing Build and Run capabilities, configuring Change Request Management (CHARM), and Transport Management. Expertise in system and application monitoring, incident management, and Early Watch Alert reporting is required. Experience in ABAP development, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Cloud Platform/Business Technology Platform, SAP modules, SAP ERP, and SAP Activate project methodology will be valuable assets. It would be beneficial to have familiarity with SAP Focused Run, Focused Build, and Focused Insights, as well as SAP Charm and Solman. Experience with System Upgrades, OS/DB migrations, and HANA migration projects is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, relationship management, and customer handling skills are important for success in this role. Strategic thinking, influencing skills, and the ability to build consensus will be advantageous. Certification in Solution Manager related topics, successful experience in a team-oriented environment, facilitation skills, and a proactive attitude are considered good-to-have skills for this position.
