Job Description

The Sales Development Manager (SDM) is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of insurance advisors (agents) to achieve sales targets for SBI Life Insurance. The SDM plays a crucial role in driving insurance penetration in the assigned territory, ensuring business growth, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

  • Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Team Building Identify, recruit, and appoint insurance advisors (agents).
  • Conduct induction and training sessions for new advisors.
  • Guide advisors on licensing procedures, business ethics, and sales techniques.
  • 2. Business Development Drive life insurance sales through advisors to meet or exceed targets.
  • Generate leads through market research, cold calls, field visits, and local networking.
  • Promote and sell SBI Life Insurance products as per customer needs.
  • 3. Team Management & Motivation Support and motivate advisors to improve performance.
  • Regularly review sales performance and provide feedback or coaching.
  • Conduct joint field visits with advisors to help close deals.
