Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Retail Store Design Intern to support our design team in reimagining retail spaces that integrate advanced autonomous checkout technology. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in retail design, from conceptualization to implementation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Design & Layout Development: Assist in creating and refining retail store layouts and floor plans that optimize customer flow and operational efficiency. Develop design concepts that effectively integrate Brysks autonomous checkout technology into diverse retail environments. Research & Analysis: Conduct market research and site visits to analyze current retail trends and best practices. Gather and interpret customer and stakeholder feedback to inform design iterations. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with the design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that store designs are feasible and aligned with technological capabilities. Prepare design presentations and visual materials using CAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools. Prototyping & Testing: Assist in creating prototypes or mock-ups of store layouts to test design concepts in real-world settings. Support the evaluation of design solutions to ensure they meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field. Strong creative and spatial design skills with an eye for detail and functionality. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with modern design tools. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas clearly. Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Preferred Skills (Bonus): Interest or background in retail environments and technology integration. Previous internship or project experience in retail design or related fields.
