Job Title: Restaurant Captain (Chinese Restaurant)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a professional and customer-oriented Restaurant Captain to oversee daily operations and ensure a high-quality dining experience at our Chinese restaurant. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of Chinese cuisine, and the ability to coordinate staff efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Welcome and assist guests, ensuring they have a pleasant dining experience. Handle special requests and resolve customer complaints professionally.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and coordinate the service staff, ensuring smooth operations during shifts. Provide guidance to waiters and ensure all team members follow restaurant protocols.
  • Order Management: Assist guests in ordering by providing menu recommendations and ensuring accurate order-taking. Communicate effectively with the kitchen to ensure timely food preparation.
  • Training & Development: Train new service staff on restaurant standards, menu knowledge, and customer service skills.
  • Hygiene & Presentation: Ensure that the restaurant maintains high hygiene and cleanliness standards. Oversee table settings, decorations, and food presentation.
  • Billing & Cash Handling: Oversee the billing process, ensuring accurate charges and smooth transactions. Assist in daily sales reporting and cash reconciliation.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels for tableware, condiments, and beverages. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar for efficient inventory control.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Restaurant Captain or similar role in a Chinese restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine and dining etiquette.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
