Job Description
The role focuses on assessing, maintaining, and upscaling the production of relevant chemicals post CO capture and conversion processes, translating lab-scale discoveries into scalable climate solutions for decarbonising heavy industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemical synthesis, spectroscopy, analytical techniques, and materials science. Responsibilities include synthesizing and optimizing chemicals and materials for CO capture and conversion, conducting wet lab experiments on carbon utilization pathways, performing detailed characterizations using various techniques, conducting technical and economic analysis, collaborating with engineers to transition research to pilot/industrial scale, and maintaining detailed research documentation. Desired qualifications for this role include a PhD or Masters in Chemistry, Catalysis, Materials Science, or related field, a strong understanding of reaction mechanisms, catalysis or green chemistry, minimum 2-3 years of hands-on lab experience, experience with carbon capture, CO utilization, or clean energy technologies, and familiarity with safety protocols and lab-scale experimental design.
