R & D Chemist Job Description Roles & Responsibilities. 1. Research & analyze new product lines in food colour, Lake Colour, FD & C colour. 2. Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements. 3. Work with management closely regarding product development & emerging market trends. 4. Try and work with the production team to standardize certain running products. 5. Knowledge of Analytical Instruments (HPLC, TLC, ETC) Basic knowledge. R & D Chemist Skills: 1. Designing and manufacturing new process pilot setups and lab setups. 2. Conducting research on pilot and lab setups to reach the target yield. 3. Scale up new processes (From Concept to commissioning). 4. Resolving process issues. 5. Preparing SOPs for each process. R & D Chemist Requirements: 1. Bachelors degree in Chemical or M.Sc. chemistry. 2. 4 years experience as an R & D Chemist. 3.
