Job Summary The Quotation Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates and quotations in response to customer requests, tenders, and internal sales opportunities. This role involves analyzing specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine material, labor, and overhead requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, procurement, and production teams. Key Responsibilities: Review customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and technical specifications. Prepare cost estimates for products, materials, labor, and services. Create and submit accurate and competitive quotations/proposals within deadlines. Liaise with internal departments (engineering, procurement, production) to gather necessary information. Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers for materials and subcontracted services. Maintain and update pricing databases and quoting templates. Follow up on submitted quotes and revise as necessary. Analyze win/loss quote data to improve pricing strategies. Ensure compliance with company pricing policies and margin targets. Support the sales team with technical and pricing inquiries. Document and archive quotation files for future reference and audits. Preferred Skills Knowledge of industry-specific standards (e.g., construction, manufacturing, electronics, etc.) Experience using quoting software (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, or industry-specific tools) Project management experience or certification (PMP or similar) is a plus.
