Job Description
As a Purchasing Manager at Siddham PolyIndia, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of recycled polymers, such as rPET, rPP, and rHDPE. Your role will be crucial in sourcing high-quality materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing inventory to ensure timely and cost-effective production. To excel in this position, you will need a deep understanding of the recycled polymer industry, vendor management, and supply chain operations. Your key responsibilities will include developing and executing sourcing strategies for recycled polymers and related materials, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. You will also be tasked with identifying and building relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and prices, and managing inventory levels efficiently to minimize disruptions in the production process. Additionally, you will monitor purchasing costs, seek opportunities for cost reduction, and ensure vendor compliance with company standards. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the warehouse team, quality assurance team, and other departments to align purchasing strategies with operational needs. Your ability to provide regular updates to senior management regarding purchasing performance, supplier status, cost-saving initiatives, and potential risks in the supply chain will be essential for success. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, or a related field. A certification in procurement or supply chain management would be advantageous. You should also have at least 5 years of proven experience as a Purchasing Manager in the manufacturing or recycling industry, with a focus on polymers and recycled materials. Strong negotiation skills, knowledge of the recycling industry, proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, and excellent communication abilities are key qualifications for this role. If you have experience with international suppliers, global supply chains, cost-saving strategies, environmental regulations, and team management, it would be considered a plus.
