Role Summary - Purchase Supervisor The Purchase Manager will oversee the procurement processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials and services. The role involves building strong supplier relationships, optimizing procurement strategies, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budgets. Key Responsibilities Procurement Planning and Strategy Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet production and business needs. Analyze market trends and forecast material requirements. Create annual budgets and ensure adherence. Supplier Management Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with reliable suppliers. Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships. Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost. Purchase Operations Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and agreements. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Resolve any supply-related issues, delays, or quality discrepancies. Cost Control and Optimization Conduct price comparisons and negotiate favorable terms. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. Monitor and report on procurement expenditures. Compliance and Documentation Ensure procurement practices comply with company policies and legal requirements. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and agreements. Conduct regular audits of procurement processes. Team Management Lead and mentor the procurement team. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure skill development within the team. Collaboration and Reporting Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, finance, and quality control. Provide regular reports on procurement performance, savings, and supplier metrics to senior management. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree, Business Administration, or related field.
