Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals. Forecast demand and plan for future procurement needs to optimize stock levels. Supplier & Vendor Management: Build and nurture relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure consistent quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely supply. Cost Control & Budget Management: Manage the purchasing budget, monitor spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Analyze procurement data to optimize purchasing decisions and enhance profitability. Inventory Control & Coordination: Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages. Work closely with internal teams to align purchasing with production and sales schedules. Order Management: Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure compliance with agreed terms. Address any issues that arise to minimize disruptions. Market Analysis & Research: Conduct research on market trends, pricing, and new suppliers to ensure were always getting the best value and quality. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and industry standards. Prepare regular reports for senior management on procurement performance, supplier issues, and financial impact. Collaboration Across Teams: Partner with departments such as production, logistics, and finance to ensure a seamless procurement process. Resolve any procurement-related challenges that may arise. Qualifications: Education: Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree or certifications like CPSM or CPM is required. CA certification is a plus. Experience: Age should be above 45 with 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally in a managerial or leadership role. Skills : Strong negotiation and communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge : Deep understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management Familiarity with market trends and product sourcing Knowledge of compliance regulations and procurement best practices Certifications (Preferred): Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
