Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Procurement Planning: Identify and source raw materials, fabrics, trims, and accessories as per production requirements. Develop and maintain vendor relationships for cost-effective and quality procurement. Vendor Management: Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize contracts. Conduct supplier audits to ensure quality standards and timely delivery. Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues. Purchase Operations & Documentation: Prepare purchase orders (PO) and ensure timely procurement of materials. Maintain purchase records, invoices, and other necessary documentation. Inventory Control & Cost Management: Work closely with the warehouse team to track inventory levels and avoid stock shortages. Optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards. Implement cost-saving measures in material sourcing and vendor selection. Coordination with Other Departments: Collaborate with production, quality control, and design teams to ensure smooth workflow. Provide updates on material availability, lead times, and order statuses. Address any procurement-related challenges impacting production timelines. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. Conduct quality checks on received materials to match specifications. Job Specifications:Qualifications & Skills Required: Bachelors degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Textile Technology, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in purchase/procurement in the garment industry. Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment accessories. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and purchase-related software. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to handle multiple suppliers and maintain cost efficiency. Understanding of import/export procedures (if applicable). Preferred Traits: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
