About JSW

Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Project manager with expertise in the Design review, installation, programming, and commissioning of 2000+ ton tandem press lines for automotive stamping applications. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Siemens and Beckhoff PLC systems, deep experience with NC cushion systems, and hands-on familiarity with JIER press lines a significant advantage in this role. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage end-to-end automation and commissioning for high-tonnage tandem press lines (2000+ tons), focusing on NC cushion configuration and press synchronization. Program, integrate, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems using Siemens (S7-1500, S7-300) and Beckhoff. Configure and optimize NC cushion force profiles, travel curves, and timing parameters to meet forming and die protection requirements. Coordinate closely with OEMs, contractors, and internal teams to conduct FAT, SAT, dry runs, die tryouts, and full production handovers. Interface with press line automation including de-stackers, Blank washer, feed systems, transfer rails, end conveyors, and safety systems. Ensure full compliance with industrial safety standards (ISO 13849, OSHA, CE) for logic-driven E-stop, light curtain, and safety PLC functionality. Deliver detailed documentation, commissioning logs, backup PLC/HMI programs, and training packages for in-house teams. Collaborate with tooling, quality, and maintenance departments to support SPM, capability trials (Cp/Cpk), and process optimization. Act as the site lead for technical troubleshooting during installation and launch phases. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Diploma in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering. 15+ years of experience in the automotive stamping industry, with focus on 2000+ ton tandem press lines. Strong hands-on expertise in Siemens (S7) and Beckhoff for press control and automation. Solid experience in NC cushion setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting. Direct involvement in commissioning or maintaining JIER press lines (servo or mechanical) is a strong advantage. Skilled in interpreting electrical schematics, safety logic diagrams, and press system architecture. Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional technical teams. Willing to travel domestically and internationally for extended site support during commissioning phases. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with robotic press automation, servo transfer rails, or progressive die setups. Experience with other high-tonnage press OEMs (e.g., Schuler, AIDA, Komatsu, Fagor). Understanding of SCADA integration, OPC-UA, and data logging for predictive maintenance. TPM, Lean Six Sigma, or maintenance reliability certifications are a plus. Work Environment: Field-intensive role during installation and commissioning with regular work on press shop floors. Must be comfortable working around large industrial machinery, sometimes during extended or off-shift hours. Travel required for on-site equipment launches, supplier visits, and global support.,
