Job Overview :

The Production Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing and executing efficient production plans, ensuring optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate should have a mechanical background, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to coordinate across departments to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders and internal capacity. 

- Analyze ERP system data to identify gaps, delays, or resource inefficiencies. 

- Coordinate with design, purchase, stores, production, and quality teams for smooth production flow.  

- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions. 

- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and KPIs. 

- Ensure timely availability of materials by collaborating with procurement and inventory teams. 

- Drive process improvements using data and planning tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 

- Strong analytical skills; experience with production data analysis. 

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes: machining, fabrication, and assembly. 

- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.). 

- Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills. 

- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines. 

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
