Job Description

You are a highly skilled and experienced Principal Platform Engineer sought to join a dynamic team in Bangalore. With a deep understanding of RHEL, KVM, and OpenStack environments, you will play a crucial role in integrating new hardware, debugging, supporting open-source software, and leading a team of platform engineers to ensure efficient and innovative platform solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading and mentoring a team of platform engineers in developing, implementing, and optimizing platform solutions. You will oversee the integration of new hardware into existing networks and systems with minimal disruption to operations. Providing expert-level support for OpenStack and other open-source platforms, you will also develop and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other tools to facilitate seamless software product delivery. Designing and implementing robust database solutions using PostgreSQL, you will ensure the security and stability of platform architecture through proactive assessment and upgrades. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align platform engineering strategies with overall business objectives and staying updated on industry trends and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement are also part of your role. Desired Skills & Experience **Education and Experience:** - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in platform engineering with a proven track record in a similar leadership role. **Technical Skills:** - Extensive experience with RHEL, KVM, and OpenStack environments. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java. - In-depth knowledge of Jenkins, delivery pipelines, and PostgreSQL. - Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of engineers. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with various stakeholders and external partners. **Good To Have:** - Certifications in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenStack, or similar technologies. - Experience in developing and supporting large-scale, high-availability platform architectures. - Familiarity with additional open-source tools and frameworks.,
