Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a PostgreSQL Developer Subject Matter Expert, located in Chennai. The PostgreSQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases, performing back-end web development, and ensuring the smooth operation of software systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in PostgreSQL SQL, including database design, fine-tuning, performance optimization, and advanced development practices. In addition to their technical expertise, the candidate will play a key role in creating educational content for PostgreSQL developer training courses, helping to share knowledge and mentor aspiring developers. Qualifications Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in PostgreSQL SQL development and database management. Expert-level knowledge of PostgreSQL concepts, including advanced SQL, PL/pgSQL programming, and database internals. Proven expertise in query fine-tuning, performance analysis, and optimization techniques. Strong understanding of database architecture, normalization, indexing, and partitioning. Experience with high-availability solutions, replication, and disaster recovery mechanisms. Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools and methodologies. Ability to create engaging, accurate, and structured educational content for technical audiences. Strong communication skills to deliver complex concepts in an understandable manner. Familiarity with cloud-based database services and deployments (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL). Knowledge of security best practices in database development and management.,
