Hiring Ph.D. graduate with expertise in thin film device fabrication and optical characterization. The techniques in particular in which experience is sought are: PVD techniques (Sputtering, Pulsed Laser Deposition etc.), FTIR, electrical characterization, XRD. Device characterization using optical and electrical characterization techniques Assume the role of superuser for the laboratory equipment Design of experiment for device testing in ambient conditions Closely work with computational group to improve the metamaterial device Education: Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field within the last five years or will have completed all Ph.D. requirements by commencement of appointment. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated experience in one of the thin film vapor deposition methods, such as RF or DC sputtering, pulsed laser deposition (PLD), thermal evaporation, molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), chemical vapor deposition (CVD) Scientific background in materials physics, materials chemistry, or materials engineering Previous experience operating and maintaining vacuum, electrical, cryogenic, mechanical, and/or optical systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Interested candidates can send a copy of their CV and cover letter to shikharm@iitk.ac.in,
