Job Summary: We are seeking a Packaging Machine Programmer to design, program, and troubleshoot automated packaging machinery and integrated systems. The role requires expertise in PLC programming, electrical systems, mechanical processes, and automation solutions to ensure efficient production. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the packaging industry, working closely with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop automation solutions for packaging lines, including robotics, conveyors, and control systems. Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems to optimize machine performance. Perform regular maintenance and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet operational goals and quality standards. Stay current with industry trends and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in programming automated packaging machinery. Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, motion drives, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, etc.). Familiarity with electrical systems, CAD software, and machine vision integration. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Technical Skills: Experience with Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens, and Schneider systems. Proficiency in SQL application development and programming for compliance. Working Conditions: Manufacturing environment with occasional overtime and travel. Certifications: Industrial automation certifications are a plus.
