Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:Obtain detailed patient histories and perform physical exams.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries.
- Order, interpret, and explain diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
- Develop and manage treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and counsel patients on preventative care and treatment options.
- Assist in surgeries and perform procedures such as suturing, casting, and wound care (depending on specialty and setting).
- Document patient information in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and follow-up care.
- Ensure compliance with medical laws and ethics.
