Job Description
Collecting Blood:Phlebotomists draw blood from patients using venipuncture or other methods, ensuring accurate sample collection. Patient Education:They explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and help manage any anxiety or concerns. Sample Handling:Phlebotomists label and prepare samples for testing, ensuring proper storage and transport to the laboratory. Documentation:They record patient information and sample details in databases and reports. Maintaining Equipment:Phlebotomists are responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and disposing of medical equipment and instruments. Following Protocols:They strictly adhere to safety and hygiene protocols, infection control measures, and quality control procedures. Inventory Management:They may also be responsible for managing supplies and inventory related to phlebotomy procedures. Freshers are preferred.
