About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist / Sample Collection Technician to join our healthcare team. The role involves collecting blood and other laboratory samples from patients in a safe, hygienic, and efficient manner while ensuring a comfortable experience for them.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients using approved techniques (venipuncture, finger pricks, etc.)
• Collect other samples as required (urine, swabs, sputum, etc.) following standard protocols
• Verify patient identification and labeling of samples accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of work area and equipment
• Follow all safety guidelines, infection control procedures, and PPE protocols
• Ensure proper storage, packaging, and transportation of samples to the laboratory
• Record and maintain patient and sample collection details in the system or forms
• Provide a calm and reassuring experience for patients during the collection process
• Coordinate with laboratory staff for timely sample processing
• Handle biohazardous materials safely and responsibly
