Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities: Identify, source, and procure primary and secondary packaging materials (e.g., cartons, bottles, labels, foils, films, containers, etc.) in line with production requirements. Coordinate with production, R&D, quality, and warehouse teams to understand packaging specifications and ensure material compatibility. Evaluate and select reliable suppliers based on price, quality, delivery timelines, and capacity. Track and manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to avoid material shortages or overstock. Handle purchase requisitions, RFQs, comparative statements, and vendor PO issuance. Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory norms related to packaging materials. Maintain and update supplier database, documentation, and procurement reports. Monitor market trends, new packaging technologies, and innovations for cost and quality improvements. Support periodic audits, quality checks, and vendor evaluations.
