Job Title: Packaging Specialist Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Packaging Specialist to join our restaurant team. As a Packaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and efficient packaging of items for both dine-in and takeout orders. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and presentation of our dishes during the packaging process. Responsibilities: - Package food items accurately and efficiently according to order specifications. - Ensure that all packaging materials, including containers, bags, and utensils, are clean and readily available. - Verify the correctness of orders, including items, quantities, and condiments, before packaging. - Maintain high standards of food presentation during the packaging process. - Label and mark packages with appropriate order details for easy identification. - Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of items for packaging. - Organise and prioritise packaging tasks based on order deadlines and customer requirements. - Adhere to portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in food packaging. - Monitor and maintain inventory of packaging supplies, reporting any shortages to the management. - Comply with health and safety regulations and follow proper hygiene practices. - Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring accurate and timely packaging of orders. - Assist with other duties in the restaurant as needed, including food preparation and cleaning tasks. Requirements: - Prior experience in packaging or food handling is preferred. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Excellent organisational and time management skills. - Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. - Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
