Job Description
As an experienced professional in the field of ocean freight forwarding, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end operations including both FCL and LCL shipments. Your role will involve coordinating with shipping lines, overseas agents, and CHA to ensure timely booking, documentation, and customs clearance. Additionally, you will lead and supervise the freight forwarding team, monitoring cost efficiency, ensuring service quality, and handling client escalations with proactive solutions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and carriers will also be a key part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in ocean freight forwarding, demonstrating a strong understanding of international shipping procedures. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, along with familiarity with freight software and documentation such as BL, IGM, Surrender, etc. A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is required for this position.
