Job Description

The position requires a combination of administrative, managerial, and problem-solving skills to address issues that arise when regular administrative staff and department heads are unavailable. Operational Oversight: Monitor hospital activities to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Serve as the primary decision-maker for administrative and operational matters during the shift. Address staffing shortages by reallocating resources or arranging for backup staff if necessary. Patient and Family Support: Respond to patient or family concerns, resolving issues promptly or escalating them as required. Provide updates and emotional support in critical situations, coordinating with clinical staff when needed. Staff Support and Supervision: Act as a resource for clinical and non-clinical staff, providing guidance and support. Handle conflicts or disciplinary issues that arise during the shift. Conduct walkthroughs to ensure staff are performing their duties effectively. Crisis Management: Coordinate responses to emergencies, including medical codes, power outages, or security incidents. Liaise with emergency services, maintenance teams, or senior administrators as required. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of incidents, decisions, and activities during the shift. Prepare handover reports for the daytime administrative team. Qualifications: Experience: 3-5 years in hospital operations or healthcare management. Previous supervisory or administrative experience (preferred). Skills: Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage stress and remain calm in emergencies. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and hospital operations. Working Conditions: Primarily overnight 12 hours shifts (08:00 PM 08:00 AM) Requires handling challenging or emergency situations.
