Job Description
Position: Engineer NPD (New Product Development)
Industry: Plastic Manufacturing / Engineering
Location: Rajkot Gujarat
Experience: Minimum 5 years Qualification: B.E./Diploma in Mechanical or Plastic Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- New Product Development Lifecycle: Lead the entire product development process from concept to customer delivery including design, engineering drawings, specifications, process setup, packaging, validation, and documentation.
- Process & Product Optimization: Continuously improve product quality and optimize material and process efficiency to maintain competitive advantage.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments (Design, Quality, Production, Purchase) to create innovative product strategies and execute them effectively.
- Feasibility Studies & Costing: Conduct feasibility analysis for new projects and products, including investment estimation and cost projections for management review.
- Project Management: Develop and manage project timelines and keep customers and internal teams informed on progress and changes.
- Process Development: Lead trial runs, validations, and initiate production setups. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to quality standards.
- Problem-solving Support: Provide technical support to resolve ongoing production issues, customer complaints, and process deviations.
- Training & Development: Provide skill enhancement training to cross-functional teams to improve product quality and production efficiency.
- Vendor Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for raw materials and components to support new product requirements.
- Customer Communication & Issue Resolution: Coordinate with clients to address technical queries, handle complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Proficient in product design tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks/CATIA etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of product validation and testing
- Project planning and time management
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
