Job Title: C2O Welder (MIG/MAG Welder) Role Overview: Job role requires a good understanding of welding processes, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and the practical skills to ensure high-quality welds. Key Responsibilities: Welding Operations: Perform CO welding on various metal structures, ensuring that all welds meet the required specifications and standards. Preparation: Set up welding equipment, including CO cylinders, and prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and positioning them according to job specifications. Reading Drawings: Interpret and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to complete tasks accurately. Quality Control: Inspect welds for defects and make necessary adjustments to ensure weld quality and compliance with safety standards. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of welding materials. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including welding logs and quality checklists. Qualifications and Skills: Education: ITI certification in Welding, Fabrication, or a related field. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in CO or MIG/MAG welding is preferred, but freshers with strong practical skills are also encouraged to apply. Technical Skills: Proficient in CO welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret welding drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of different metals and their welding characteristics. Soft Skills: Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
