Mid-Senior / Senior Quantity Surveyor Location:Bengaluru Company:Colliers Department:Design Services Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with architectural firms, MEP systems, and landscape projects. You will play a crucial role in managing and controlling project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and contributing to the successful delivery of high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities: - Cost Estimation and Budgeting:Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for architectural, MEP, and landscape projects. Review and assess project plans and specifications to provide accurate cost forecasts. - Tendering and Procurement:Manage the tendering process, including preparing and issuing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. - Contract Administration:Administer contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions. Address and resolve any contractual issues that may arise during the project lifecycle. - Cost Control:Monitor project costs and expenditures, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects stay within budget. Prepare and review cost reports and forecasts. - Value Engineering:Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering without compromising quality and project requirements. - Site Visits and Assessments:Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and address any site-related issues. Ensure accurate measurement and certification of work completed. - Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive records of costs, contracts, and changes. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and stakeholders. - Collaboration:Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of cost management processes throughout the project. Qualifications: - Education:Bachelor's degree Civil, Construction Management, or a related field. - Experience:Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant exposure to architectural, MEP, and landscape projects. - Skills: - Strong understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and financial management. - Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge:Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the industry. *How to Apply:** Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume to soundarya.d@colliers.com Colliers is an equal-opportunity employer.
