Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Draughtsman with expertise in sheet metal fabrication and retail store fixture design. Your responsibilities will include preparing technical drawings, manufacturing-ready detailing, and complete BOM/BOQ documentation for production and client approvals. You will be responsible for: - Creating detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for sheet metal products, components, and retail fixtures. - Transforming design briefs and sketches into production-ready technical drawings. - Developing accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for each project. - Ensuring that drawings comply with material standards, production tolerances, and fabrication processes. - Collaborating with production, procurement, and design teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability. - Revising drawings based on feedback from project managers, clients, or fabrication vendors. - Maintaining organized documentation of all revisions and version control of designs. - Providing technical inputs for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and project planning. Key Skills & Competencies required: - Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software. - Strong understanding of sheet metal design principles, joinery techniques, and fabrication methods. - Knowledge of retail fixture design (racks, counters, displays, etc.) is a plus. - Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. - Familiarity with standard materials such as MS, SS, aluminum, Wood, etc. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation. - Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Qualifications: - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. - Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting, preferably in sheet metal or retail fixtures. - Familiarity with fabrication workflows and vendor/shop floor coordination is a plus. This is a Full-time position with health insurance benefits. The work location is in Bhandup West, Mumbai, Maharashtra. You will need to work in person during day shifts.
