Job Description

As the Finance Department Head, your primary responsibility is to oversee the daily operations and financial planning of the hotel. You will be required to monitor and analyze monthly operating results, prepare financial forecasts, and ensure compliance with budgetary reporting requirements. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in establishing departmental goals, policies, and operating procedures to drive the financial success of the organization. In terms of team management, you will be tasked with recruiting and developing team members, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining a high level of professionalism among staff. Collaborating with the Talent & Culture function, you will be responsible for hiring, training, motivating, and coaching team members to meet the evolving needs of the business. Furthermore, you will be expected to attend briefings, meetings, and trainings as assigned by management, and comply with hotel fire, life safety, and emergency procedures. Flexibility is key, as you may also be assigned other reasonable duties by the management to support the overall functioning of the hotel. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with a CA qualification. A minimum of 5 years of experience in senior finance or accounting positions or 2 years in a Head of Department role is required. Proficiency in English language, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant financial reporting systems is essential. You should possess a strong understanding of business acumen, accounting principles, and financial regulation standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial management, cost management, statutory and taxation laws, procurement, inventory management, HR, training, sustainability, revenue management, and financial tools and techniques. Additionally, knowledge of import regulations, internal software systems, effective communication skills, computer proficiency, and adherence to safety and hygiene practices are essential for success in this role.,
